This book was an enjoyable historical romance. I have definitely read better, but I have also definitely read worse. The characters were likable enough, but for some reason did not really pull me in. I did not have any trouble putting down the book and did not find myself wondering about the story when not reading it. I would recommend this book for readers who have already read the other books in the series, or for those who enjoy Elizabethan England, Scotland, and that time period.
